About Doss Hill

I am particularly interested in exploring how time interacts with the human body. I use painting as a way to preserve and expand a moment in time. Calling upon line, shape, and color while creating illuminates’ pathways that exist within the body and within space.

I portray memories, dreams, and concepts in order to illuminate unknown perspectives. Time can lose itself in the ether, and my intention is to provide work which grounds that chaos into the earth. The finished pieces become a timestamp, revealing the beauty in the mundane. As I deliberately stretch and move materials, the dance of the universe is able to slow its rhythm around the work itself.
